Movie review - The Da Vinci Code

Matt and I decided to catch an early afternoon movie today, and the only one that we hadn't seen yet that was on our list was The Da Vinci Code. I am one of the few people that has not actually read the book, and I'm kind of glad that I didn't. I've found that when you see a movie after reading the same book, you're a little distracted by what was added or left out. That being said, I feel that I have a different perspective than a lot that have read the book and then seen the movie (like Matt). However, Matt did say that the movie stays very true to the book.

There was a lot of controversy surrounding this book and movie, and I really don't get why. I'm not really a religious person and I can't say that I fully believe most of what's in the Bible, and I wasn't swayed one way or another by this movie. It's fiction based on some real events, not unsimilar to a lot of other movies.

Bottom line is that it is a really exciting movie that will have you guessing "who done it" through the entire thing (if you haven't read the book). I really enjoyed it - it has a great story line and a lot of action.
