I hate viruses

When we arrived home on Tuesday, I was looking forward to sitting at my computer and playing some of my favorite games. What I found instead was a virus-infected computer that wouldn't let me do anything at all. It brought up a window that looked like a regular error window, but when you pressed any button, another window would come up with a timer telling you it was going to reboot.

This particular virus is a nasty one, called Sasser. If it manages to get into your home network, it will infect all of the computers (Matt's was toast, too). What makes it the worst is that it spreads on its own, meaning that it isn't a result of something that you do, it just kind of shows up. So, I spent all of Tuesday and part of Wednesday figuring out how to fix my computer (I ended up reinstalling Windows).

All people that write viruses should be tarred and feathered.
