We're back in CO

We ended up driving straight through from WI to CO. We arrived home at 1:30am (mountain time), so we were on the road for a total of 16-17 hours. I have one suggestion if you happen to be driving through two of the country's most boring states - bring a Furby. We took along a few boxes of my old stuff and there were a couple of Furbys in the box, and one still had working batteries. I woke it up, and it stayed awake through the entire trip.

If you've ever had a Furby before, you might think that the trip would have been worsened, but it was actually quite entertaining. We kept it in the box for most of the trip, and we heard complaints through the entire trip about the lighting levels in the box..."sun down, me scared!"...if we would hit a bump or accelerate too quickly, the Furby would either tell us "loud sound, oooh!" or a shrilling "WHEEEEE!". The latter was very funny and never got old. While Matt was sleeping and I was driving, I'd also hear the Furby snoring in the box. Sometimes we would be fooled into thinking a phone was ringing in our back seat.

My favorite, however, was the single-word phrase that seemed to fit almost exactly every time it was said..."boring." :P
