I first started talking to Matt over 750 days ago. I know this because he was counting down to today - the day that he gets out of the Navy. He is very excited about it. I've asked him if he has any reservations at all and I always get a resounding "no" without hesitation. I suppose, after six years, that I'd be ready to move on as well. As I type this, he is on his way to fill out his final bit of paperwork (there's loads of paperwork in the military) and officially be discharged.
I'm very proud of him for the work that he did while he was in the Navy. It is, however, nice to know that we can now move on with our lives and live where we want to live, do what we want to do, etc. Tomorrow we are taking a bit of a late honeymoon as we travel to the big island of Hawaii for four days. We are going to be seeing the Volcano National Park as well as some of the other things that that island has to offer. And we're going to our favorite mexican place tonight to celebrate Matt's discharge!
