Wisconsin deer versus Florida deer

Wisconsin is a land known for its whitetail deer population. They are large, visible and majestic creatures. Florida also has deer. They are much smaller and less often seen. Every time I drive home from Orlando at night I see dozens of small deer on the side of the road. However, I have never seen a dead deer on the side of the road. In Wisconsin, there are dead deer on the side of the road every few miles.

This has led me to a conclusion - Wisconsin deer are either really stupid or just plain suicidal.
